Bylaw No. 04-2026 proposes to amend the Town of Ponoka’s Land Use Bylaw by changing lands for parcel 5000 62 Avenue from Urban Reserve (UR) to a Direct Control (DC) District.
The DC District is intended to accommodate a four-storey apartment development consisting of two buildings with shared indoor and outdoor amenity spaces.
A public hearing for this bylaw will be held on Wednesday, August 12 at 7 p.m.in Town Council Chambers on the third floor of the Ponoka Civic Centre (5604 50 Street, Ponoka). People wishing to speak will be requested to state their name and address for the record upon being recognized by the Chairperson. Council will hear submissions made in person or by the agent from any person who claims to be affected by the proposed bylaw.
Any person wishing to submit written comments may do so by sending them to the Town of Ponoka at the address below prior to Friday, August 4 at 4 p.m. People may make oral presentations at the Council meeting, regardless of whether or not they have provided written comments.
